Veteran fast bowler Shikha Pandey was also named in the squad for the tournament. Shikha last played for India in October 2021 before being controversially dropped from the team.
The T20 World Cup will be held in South Africa next year and Team India will begin their campaign against Pakistan on February 12 in Cape Town.
India is placed in Group 2 along with Pakistan, England, West Indies, Pakistan and Ireland. The top two teams of both the groups will play the semi-finals. The final will be held in Cape Town on 26 February 2023.
