IPL 2023 Mini Auction | Karan, Green, Stokes, Puran broke expensive records


A limited pool of cricketers including the likes of Ben Stokes, Sam Curran and Mayank Agarwal are expected to see intense bidding to grab their favorite players in the mini IPL auction on December 23, 2022. ,

The player pool for the auction has been increased to 405 with a maximum of 87 slots including 30 foreigners to be filled by the teams.

Former South African all-rounder Chris Morris has been the biggest beneficiary of the mini IPL auction so far. In 2021, he became the costliest player in the history of the auction when Rajasthan Royals spent ₹16.25 crore for his services.

Morris is now happily retired.

The 2022 T20 World Cup Player of the Year award could see the all-rounder Curren bid heavily and end up with a million dollar deal.

He is only 24 and teams will see him as a long term investment. Back in 2019, Punjab Kings made him an IPL crorepati before he moved to Chennai Super Kings who were looking to buy him back.
