Steelers legend Franco Harris has died at age 72

Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back and Steelers legend Franco Harris has died at the age of 72, according to NFL writer Will Graves.

They were to be honored on the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception, just days before Harris's death.

No cause of death has been given given that Harris won four Super Bowls as part of the Steelers dynasty of the 1970s.

He is the franchise leader in rushing yards with 12,120 yards and was due to have his jersey retired on Saturday.

By all accounts, Harris was a remarkable man who completely embraced everything it took to be a part of the Steelers even after his retirement.
