Ravichandran Ashwin’s blistering knock helped India register a three-wicket win over Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. The off-spinner also contributed with six wickets in the match, including four in the first innings to help his team take an 87-run lead, and two in the second innings to bowl Bangladesh out for 231. .
Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to praise his former Indian teammate and also posted his picture depicting him as a scientist working in a lab. Ravichandran Ashwin was declared ‘Player of the Match’ for his match-winning knock in the second innings. India won the two-match Test series 2-0. The Test series win was India’s 16th consecutive win in Asia. This was India’s first Test series win under the leadership of KL Rahul.
With this three-wicket win, India have consolidated their place in the ICC World Test Championship table on the second spot behind Australia.
